NASCAR BGN: Laton in Critical Condition after Michigan Crash

BROOKLYN, MI: Gary Laton, a NASCAR Busch Grand National racing driver, was injured as a result of a qualifying crash at the Michigan Speedway Thursday. Laton is listed in critical but stable condition at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital located in Ypsilanti Michigan. Laton had taken the green flag for his qualifying run when he spun his Chevy Monte Carlo in the middle of turn one and then hit the outside retaining wall.
