WATKINS GLEN, NY: Jeff Gordon has captured the pole for the Bud at the Glen NASCAR Winston Cup race to be held Sunday. Gordon is the Winston Cup points leader. Gordon qualified with a top speed of 120.331 mph.

Complete results follow with starting position, (car number), driver, hometown, car make, and speed. Qaulifying will continue Saturday for those drivers who did not post a speed in the top 25:
