NASCAR: Jeff Gordon Gets First Road Course Pole at Sears Point

SONOMA, CA: Jeff Gordon has captured the pole for the Save Mart-Kragen 350K NASCAR Winston Cup race to be held at Sears Point Raceway on Sunday. Gordon grabbed the top spot with a speed of 98.711 mph in his Dupont sponsored Monte Carlo. Jerry Nadeau was the second fastest qualifier in a Ford.
