Brazilian Racing News: Chico Serra and Adalberto Jardim Win at Interlagos

Adalberto Jardim won the third round of the 1998 Stock Car
Championship, while Chico Serra (former F-1 driver) won the 4th round
last sunday in Interlagos.

Both races had a lot of accidents, as the track was slippery due to
the rain. Ingo Hoffmann that was leading the championship had an
accident at the 3rd round and crossed the chequered flag one lap
behind the leader.  That cost him the lead of the championship,
despite his very good finish at the 4th round, when Chico Serra won,
followed by Carlos Faletti and Ingo Hoffmann.

1) Chico Serra (SP), 59 points;
2) Ingo Hoffmann (SP), 52;
3) Xandy Negrao (SP), 41.

Class "B" -
1) Ricardo Etchenique (SP),75 points;
2) Carlos Cunha (SP), 62;
3) Rodney Felicio (SP).
