NASCAR-GDS: "Pop" Hobgood Passes Away

Lewis G. Hobgood, Jr. of Winnsboro, SC died Monday, March 9th, 1998 at his home. He was 75 years young.

To everyone in NASCAR, he was known as "POP". He is the father of Will Hobgood, driver of car #65 in the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, and grandfather of Jake Hobgood, driver of car #64.

Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery fund or to the Salvation Army.
