Yarborough Gets Winston Cup Sponsors

Cale Yarborough can breath a little easier now that Thorn Apple Valley has
announced a three year sponsorship package for the #98 Fords campaigned by
Yarborough.

Yarborough has seen close to a complete change of his team when his driver,
sponsor and crew chief all left for other jobs at the and of the '97
season.

Speaking about the sponsorship Yarborough said, "I look forward to the next
three years with Thorn Apple Valley. It's always easier to race without
having to worry about who your sponsor will be."

Thorn Apple Valley rounds out a triad of recent changes at Cale Yarborough
Motorsports. Handling the driving duties will be Greg Sacks. Sacks, who has
one Winston Cup Victory on his resume, replaces John Andretti. The new crew
chief will be Mike Hillman. Hillman replaces Tony Furr who went to the #25
Hendrick Motorsports Budweiser entry.

Thorn Apple Valley is a leading manufacturer of sausage, ham and turkey
products. Also part of Thorn Apple Valley's new venture to NASCAR racing is
has been named an "Official Marketing PArtner" for NASCAR's upcoming 50th
anniversary.
