Vectra Grand Tour Offers Elegance and Style

5 December 1997

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The 1998 Vectra Grand Tour from Winnebago Industries, Inc. offers a
bus-style motor home with elegance and style. The Vectra Grand Tour
has four exquisite models available for 1998, including the 35WQ
diesel pusher model available with a 275 hp Cummins or a 300 hp
Caterpillar engine. A 36WQ model is also available with a slideout
room extension, providing even more livability room inside the motor
home.

The Vectra Grand Tour's widebody design provides additional living
space in the living room, bedroom and bathroom, as well as additional
storage space in the beautiful custom-made cabinets. High-line
upholstery fabrics were chosen by Winnebago Industries' designers
for both their beauty and long-lasting durability and stain
resistance.

The 1997 Vectra is available with four beautiful interior color
options, as well as two beautiful wood choices for interior cabinets
and trim. The 35WQ diesel pusher model provides additional payload,
allowing extra features such as high gloss exterior fiberglass,
marble-like countertops, and vinyl plank wood grain flooring in the
galley.

The additional width provided by the widebody design also provides
added exterior storage in the spacious exterior storage compartments.
Holding tank compartments are also heated for all-weather camping. A
convenient service center provides access to hookups for cable TV,
telephone, shoreline power and sewer systems. A new black water
holding tank flushing system has been added as a standard feature with
a connection in the service center to simplify the cleaning process.

Luxurious features such as an in-dash AM/FM/CD player, mobile theater
system and entertainment center with large 19-inch color television
are available. A thirteen-inch television is available in the bedroom
and an patio entertainment center is available with either an
AM/FM/Cassette player or AM/FM/CD player, as well as DC receptacle,
110-V outlet, TV jack, radio antenna and speakers. A digital
satellite system is also available.

Modifications to the 1998 Vectra Grand Tour include the addition of a
microwave/ convection oven as a standard feature. With this addition,
a three-burner range top with storage below is now standard, while the
three-burner range top with large oven is optional.

Vehicle safety is very important in a Vectra Grand Tour. The
high-visibility windshield allows a commanding view of the road and is
mounted in steel for safety. Electronically controlled and heated
bus-style mirrors and integrated fog lights offer additional
convenience in a variety of driving conditions.

Automotive-style three-point safety belts for driver and front
passenger are mounted in steel for safety and now feature an
adjustable height shoulder strap for improved comfort. Rear passenger
lap belts, smoke, LP, and carbon monoxide detectors are all standard
safety features.

The Vectra Grand Tour has a 3 1/4-inch roof with an 'R' rating
factor of 14.62, meaning you'll stay warmer in the winter and
cooler in the summer. Central air conditioning is ducted through the
roof with dampening, directional vents to distribute cool air more
efficiently and quietly throughout the entire motor home. Dual-pane
windows are also available as an option on most models to increase the
use of the Vectra Grand Tour on a year-round basis.

The Vectra Grand Tour has a one-piece fiberglass roof, which adds
structural integrity and doesn't expand and contract, or tear like
rubber membranes. The fiberglass roof is backed by a 10-year parts
and labor warranty, while the fiberglass sidewall material is also
covered by a 10-year warranty.

In addition to the standard 12 month/15,000 mile bumper to bumper
warranty, there is a limited warranty on lamination for 3 years/36,000
miles. Every new owner of a 1998 Vectra Grand Tour automatically
receives a free one-year membership in the Preferred Care Program
which provides 24-hour customer assistance and emergency road service
throughout the United States and Canada. Winnebago Industries also
provides toll-free assistance for both owners and dealers to obtain
technical service information.
