FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Nothing's better in life than enjoying an adventure with your
family. And there's no better way to experience that adventure
than in a 1998 Itasca Spirit from Winnebago Industries, Inc. Offering
the value of quality construction and the affordability of this entry
level product, the choice of family adventure is up to you.

The Spirit motor home line is nearly all new for 1998 and features
wide-body styling for a multitude of floorplan choices. An impressive
list of standard features combined with great floorplan variety, are
all packaged in a very reasonably priced vehicle. Models ranging from
22 to 27-foot models are great for weekend and vacation travel, while
the longer 29 and 31-foot models may also accommodate full-time
users. The new 31MT model features a new StoreMore(TM) slideout system
that includes a convertible couch/bed and dinette and provides an
additional 110 cubic feet of interior space for the family to enjoy.
This new slideout system also includes large laminated exterior
storage compartments that extend with the slideout to easily retrieve
your stored items. This slideout is a feature previously found only
in more expensive models that are usually out of reach for most
entry-level buyers.

Winter adventure is also possible in the 1998 Spirit. The fresh water
lines and water tank are all located above the floor level and heated
by the interior furnace. In the 27 to 31-foot models, the floor is
also four inches higher, providing taller, more spacious exterior
storage compartments. Superior insulation in roof and sidewalls and
available dual-pane windows, also make this a year-round motor home.

Featuring 'Home Comfort Design,' the Spirit uses upgraded fabrics
treated for stain resistance and carpets, pad and interior furnishings
are combined with professionally designed floor plans. With all the
comforts of home, the Spirit includes a complete galley, bath, bedroom
and living room to accommodate all the family's needs. Entertaining
the kids inside on a rainy day is no problem with the available
entertainment center that includes a 19-inch color television, VCR and
single slideout bunk or a 13-inch color television with video cassette
player (VCP) in an overhead cabinet located in the front lounge area.

A true value in motor homes today, it just takes one look at the
Spirit to see the superior workmanship and Winnebago Industries backs
that up with one of the most comprehensive warranty programs in the
industry. In addition to the standard 12 month/15,000 mile bumper to
bumper warranty, there is a limited warranty on lamination for 3
years/36,000 miles. Every new owner of a 1998 Spirit automatically
receives a free one-year membership in the Preferred Care Program
which provides 24-hour customer assistance and emergency road service
throughout the United States and Canada. Winnebago Industries also
provides toll-free assistance for both owners and dealers to obtain
technical service information.

Winnebago Industries has set the industry standard for quality
