The Auto Channel Wins Automotive Journalism Award

Las Vegas, 12/3/97 -- At the International Automotive Conference in Las Vegas today, The Auto Channel received a "MOTO" award as tops in the category of World Wide Internet Automotive News. The first place trophy was accepted for TACH by Senior Editor Bill Maloney at an award banquet at the Imperial Palace/Casino. The IAMC Conference and awards competition, now in its eighth year, saw 235 award submissions in a variety of media categories including magazines, newspapers and electronics. The awards' banquet, attended by nearly 100 auto media members, heard an address by land speed record racer Craig Breedlove, who detailed his frustrating record attempt at Blackrock Desert in October.
