"I am very happy with this win" said Nono. "I was very afraid to race here, as my Vectra isnt the best car for this kind of track, with a lot of slow corners. But the main advantage we had is the knowledge of the track, and this was the main reason for my pole with 1.2 secs of advantage over Ricardo Rissati."

"This third place puts me a lot nearer to the title this year, but there is still one race to go, and as Fangio used to say 'Carreras son Carreras.'" said Cocho Lopez, who took an 11 point lead over fellow countryman Oscar Poppy Larrauri with his third place finish. Larrauri got a time penalty after he touched Ricardo Rissati when going into a corner and Rissati lost 4 positions. Larrauri, former F-1 driver, must win and hope that Lopez places no better than 4th place.
