Kart Expo International Peels Out in Louisville

20 October 1997

The fourth annual Tecumseh Motorsports Kart Expo International, revved up for a rad weekend in Louisville. Two wicked days dedicated to small engine motorsports!

The latest in engine kits, ATV's, Champ Karts, Touring Karts, and all the wild gear and accessories were on display. All the vendors were friendly and tried to answer all imaginable questions.

The Tecumseh Motorsports boothfeatured the Kart that set the Land Speed Record, powered by four 10 horsepower Tecumseh engines. Tecumseh explained their engines are easy to assemble.

Fast Kid's Productions introduced their new tv show all about motorsports ... just for kids! The first 39 episodes will be hosted by NASCAR driver John Andretti, and will debut in 1998.

The VIP guest of honor was 2 time Kart Grand National Champion Danica Patrick. Whoa! Danica has been competing for 6 years now, and she won't be 16 (street legal) until NEXT year!

Jay Lupo was there to explain the nuts and bolts of the Kart Chassis, The guys from Daktronics were showing off their Scoreboards, and SAFEQUIP, outfitters to IRL Racer Affonso Giaffone, was there to display its racing gear.

The Kart Expo International was a must attend, totally squealing event.
