ROCKINGHAM, NC - The following provided by Performance Marketing Group: ost Race Quotes (Pontiac Drivers)

KYLE PETTY (#44 Hot Wheels Grand Prix) - Started 5th, finished 22nd - "We ran
in the top-10 most of the day, and our Pontiac was pretty good. We pitted on
lap 246, and then the caution came out two laps later, and we got two laps
down. That was the end of the day then. That same dang thing happened to us
in the spring."

BOBBY LABONTE (#18 Interstate Batteries Grand Prix) - Started 1st, finished
11th - Led twice for 93 laps. - "We were good at the start then it went away.
We were good and then the car got too tight. I honestly don't know what
happened because the car went from great to bad at the drop of a hat. That
was just evil. But we did get the car better at the end and we had a decent
finish."

CHAD LITTLE (#97 John Deere Grand Prix) - Started 16th, finished 16th - "I
had a lot of fun out there today. We had a really good car at the start of
the race and we were hanging around in the top-10 until we took on a loose
set of tires on our second pit stop That really set us back, but we stayed
after it and got the car handling pretty good again by the end of the race.
Sixteenth is respectable, but we were capable of a top-10 finish. It feels
good to have a solid, trouble-free run. We know we can finish this season out
on a positive note."

DERRIKE COPE (#36 Skittles Grand Prix) - Started 14th, finished 20th - "I did
all I could to hold on to a 20th-place finish. The car was loose coming off
turn four. I just couldn't get any grip. We'll do better in Phoenix."

WARD BURTON (#22 MBNA Grand Prix) - Started 4th, finished 26th - "We
struggled all day. We would be good for about 20 laps, and then we would get
so tight you just couldn't drive it. They just drove right by us then. We
tested pretty good here, qualified good, practiced good Saturday. I don't
know what happened today. If it had been 30, 40-lap runs, I think we would
have been OK."
