JOHNNY BENSON - (#30 Pennzoil Grand Prix) - Qualified 20th - "We were too

ROCKINGHAM, NC - The following provided by Performance Marketing Group
loose. I thought we were going to be in really good shape. We practiced good
and all that. It was just a little too loose. There's nothing you can do
about that."

BOBBY HAMILTON (#43 STP Grand Prix) - Did not qualify; 28th - "It couldn't
have driven any better. We had a new Pontiac we also tested here and it would
run two-tenths quicker on a qualifying run, but on the race runs it would
lose five seconds to this car. This car is going to race real good."

DERRIKE COPE (#36 Skittles Grand Prix) - Qualified 14th - "I knew during our
banzai run in practice I didn't get everything there was out of the car. I
got
in it hard in qualifying and the car stuck, and when it really stuck I dove
it in even harder. It was a pretty good lap for us."

MORGAN SHEPHERD (#1 R&L Carriers Grand Prix) - Did not qualify; 31st - "We
didn't unload too good and we've had to work on it, so we've gained a whole
lot. We were still a little bit too tight when we qualified. It was OK
through three and four, but in turn two I was too tight."
