4 Provisionals, 3 Go-Homes at Martinsville for Hanes 500

MARTINSVILLE, VA - Second round qualifying has concluded at Martinsville Speedway. Jeremy Mayfield, Steve Grissom, Brett Bodine and Derrike Cope will take provisional starting positions for tomorrow's Hanes 500. Dave Marcis, Gary Bradberry and Morgan Shepherd all failed to qualify and will pack up for the long trip home. The 0.320-second separation from front to back in the starting grid makes this the closest field in the history of the fall race here at Martinsville Speedway.
