Nissan Announces Infiniti Division Sales for December 1996

Infiniti Division Celebrates The New Year with Best December in History Sales Increase 25.3 Percent; New QX4 Tops 1,000 Units CARSON, Calif., Jan. 3 -- Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., today reported its best December ever. Total December vehicle sales for Infiniti reached 4,211 units, an increase of 25.3 percent over the same period last year. New to showrooms in December, Infiniti's all-new luxury sport utility vehicle, the QX4, has exceeded sales expectations with 1,058 units sold. The re-designed Q45, Infiniti's flagship luxury performance sedan, recorded 706 units for an increase of 130.9 percent. The I30 luxury sedan led the Division with 1,473 units sold in December. Calendar year-to-date sales for the I30 reached 27,057 units, marking a 67 percent increase versus last calendar year. The J30 personal luxury sedan recorded 482 units and the G20 luxury sports sedan posted December sales of 492 units. Total Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A. sales for December, including Nissan and Infiniti Divisions, were 54,875 units. Infiniti Division surpassed 55,000 units in 1996, posting calendar year-to-date sales of 55,967. All Numbers Now Include Hawaii
