Chrysler's 1996 Domestic Sales Surpass 2.4 Million Vehicles

Reuters reports that Chrysler announced last Thursday that its sales for calendar year 1996 surpassed 2.4 million vehicles, thus setting a new record for the company. In 1988 Chrysler sold 2,208,057 units. Chrysler's domestic sales through November were about 14 percent above where they had been the year before.

The company was scheduled to release its complete sales stats for 1996 last Friday.
