Honda Dio Offers Special Brakes

12/27/96

Comline reports that Honda Motor began selling the Honda Dio, a two wheel vehicle with front and back wheel braking, on December 23, in Japan. The Dio comes with a larger fuel tank, sports halogen headlights, and will sell for 9000 yen less than the current Dio SR. The company expects the Dio models to attract a a wide range of drivers. The vehicle's new braking system distributes braking power to both the front and back wheels in relation to pressure applied to the brake pedal. The system enhances braking effectiveness and was designed for beginning drivers, who tend to use the brakes more.
