Mitsubishi Motors to Up Sales Outlets in Europe
12/24/96
Nikkei English News reports that Mitsubishi Motors has announced its intent to augment the number of its European sales outlets it has from 2,500 to 2,800 by the end of 1998. The company's five-year management program--which began this fiscal year--calls for the automaker to boost annual sales in Europe from 230,000 to 330,000. The carmaker expects its car sales in Europe to rise to 260,000 in 1997, when it markets the Carisma compact passenger car built by its Dutch joint venture, and expands exports of the Galant sedan
The company plans at least three large sales outlets apiece in Berlin, London, and Madrid. The outlets will offer a large showroom, an inspection center, and an exhibition space for used cars.
