Lexus Announces Highest Ever November Sales

TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 3 -- Led by the all-new ES 300
luxury sedan, Lexus set an all-time sales record for the month of
November.  Lexus surpassed its previous November sales record set in
1992. Total sales of 8,157 represented a 23.6 percent increase over
November '95 and an 11 percent increase over last month.

"By any measure, this is shaping up to be a great year for Lexus,"
said Lexus Senior Vice President and General Manager Jim
Press. "Despite aggressive competition in the luxury market, Lexus
dealers are setting sales records by doing what they do best --
satisfying our retail customers one at a time."

The Lexus ES 300 enjoyed its 2nd best sales month ever with 4,990
sales, a 28.8 percent increase over November '95 and 11 percent higher
than last month reflecting its improved overall value. Strong November
sales have assured Lexus of having its best ES sales year ever.

The LX 450 Sport-Utility Vehicle continued to produce strong sales in
its first year of production with a 20 percent increase over last
month. Year-to- date LX 450 sales are 6,779. The newly restyled SC 300
Sport Coupe reflected its improved value with a 23.3 percent increase
in sales over November '95 and a 12 percent increase over last
month. SC 300 year-to-date sales are 2,141. LS 400 remained the top
selling V8 import with a 14.7 percent increase over last month and
20,598 year-to-date.

Total Lexus year-to-date sales are 74,036, a 4.2 percent increase over
last year.
