BMW of North America Announces November Sales

BMW Year-To-Date Sales Exceed Previous Annual Record; Sales of BMW's 7
Series Models up 14 Percent
WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., Dec. 3 -- Year-to-date sales of BMW
automobiles in North America approached the 100,000-unit mark, passing
the company's previous annual sales record of 96,759 set in 1986.
Today, BMW of North America, Inc. reported November sales of 9,167, up
23.9 percent over the same period a year ago. At the same time, it
released its record-breaking year-to-date sales number of 99,260, up
15.3 percent over a year ago.
Year-to-date sales of BMW's 7 Series sedans are 15,295, an increase of
14 percent, outselling last year's annual total of 15,005. It was also
the best November ever for 7 Series sedans, eclipsing previous monthly
sales record of 1,564 units set in 1995.
In addition, BMW's year-to-date sales have exceeded 1995 calendar year
sales of 93,309 and set an all-time record for the month of November.
In the United States, BMW of North America, Inc. and Land Rover North
America, Inc., are members of the BMW Group. The consolidated
U.S. sales for November are 11,339 (BMW 9,167 and Land Rover 2,172)
and consolidated year-to-date sales are 120,032 (BMW 99,260 and Land
Rover 20,772).
