Automobile Dealers Should Experience Profitable 1997

11/29/96

NADA, the National Association of Automobile Dealers, says the economy may decline in 1997, but auto dealers can look to a good year. NADA says the economy will be more than modest due to rising consumer debt and tighter lending practices. The new used car superstores will make an impact, and the demand for used cars in the $5000-$8000 range will be strong. The association says dealers will continue to make most of their profits in used cars and parts/service.
