Czech Auto Executive Dies in Traffic Accident

The Associated Press reported that Ludvik Kalma, chairman of the board for Czech auto maker Skoda, died Sunday in a car accident. The accident occurred about 75 miles south of Prague, where Kalma collided with a truck at an intersection. The report did not say whether the truck driver was hurt or who was at fault. A Skoda spokesmen said the accident was not Kalma's fault.
Volkswagen owns a 70 percent controlling share of Skoda, which is the Czech Republic's biggest passenger car manufacturer.
