Indictment Expected In VW Industrial Espionage Case

German prosecutors are expected to indict Volkswagen's purchasing chief Jose Ignacio Lopez de Arriortua this month, as they conclude a three year probe of alleged industrial espionage. The charges filed in Frankfurt by General Motors stem from Lopez's switch from working for GM to working to VW in 1993. GM alleges that Lopez (and seven others) stole the corporation's purchasing secrets and brought them to VW when the German firm hired the executives away from GM.
