Saab Sets 40 International Speed/Distance Records

A silver Saab 900 turbo covered 25,000 miles at an average speed of 140.709 mph at Talledega, Alabama superspeedway last week. On the NASCAR track's high banks, the Saab attained speeds of 150 mph.

Three Saab 900 turbos and two Saab 900 V6s with 5 speed manual gearboxes participated in the enduro. All were equipped with a roll cage and six-point seat belts. The cars were driven by Saab factory drivers and a team of international auto journalists.
