South Florida Auto Show Opens this Friday

MIAMI BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE) -- It's time to
fold down the ragtop and drive over to the 26th annual South Florida
International Auto Show, the automobile industry's first major
exhibition of the season.

The 10-day show opens this Friday at the Miami Beach Convention
Center.

The '97 line-up of new cars, sport utility vehicles, trucks and many
of the industry's highly touted concept cars will be featured
throughout more than one million square feet of exhibit space at the
Miami Beach Convention Center.

"We're excited to once again be the first `Class A' show on the
circuit," said Auto Show Chairman James Carroll. "South Florida's
market traditionally serves as one of the testing grounds for what the
manufacturers will build in the coming years."

The following new vehicles will make their debut at the South Florida
International Auto Show: Chevrolet's Malibu sedan and Venture minivan,
the Plymouth Prowler, Jaguar's XK8, Cadillac's Catera, Oldsmobile's
Silhouette and the Pontiac Trans Sport minivan. Many re-designed
vehicles will be seen for the first time. They include the Honda
Prelude, Toyota Camry, Lexus ES300 and Infiniti Q45.

More than 100 exhibits will be featured at the show, including `Class
A' displays from the major manufacturers. This `Class A' ranking is an
industry designation awarded to displays created especially for a
show.

In addition to showcasing the '97 models, the Auto Show offers a host
of other exhibits including Million Dollar Alley, a display of the
industry's most exotic cars; Memory Lane, which features classic cars;
Car Boutique, displaying the latest advancements in car alarms,
cellular phones and theft recovery systems; and Auto Show Mall, which
offers an assortment of automotive and home accessories as well as
business-related products.

Discount tickets to this year's Auto Show are available at
participating new and used car dealerships, McDonald's Restaurants,
AMC Theaters and First Union Bank branches throughout South Florida.
The South Florida International Auto Show is sponsored by the South
Florida Auto-Truck Dealers Association, which comprises more than 220
new car dealerships.
