Audi Announces September Sales

Audi Sales Up Again

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 2 -- Audi of America,
Inc. reported U.S. sales of 1,875 for the month of September 1996,
representing a 34.4 percent increase over the same month last year
when sales were 1,395.

Audi has demonstrated this kind of year-over-previous-year sales
increase for 21 of the last 22 months.

For the year, Audi is up 59.3 percent over 1995. Year-to-date, the
German luxury carmaker has sold 19,731 new cars compared to 1995's
mark of 12,384.

Audi continues to be the fastest-growing luxury passenger car
franchise in the U.S.
