Volkswagen Polo Sales in Japan Exceed Expectations

Nikkei English News reported that Volkswagen's Polo compact car--which was released Aug. 19--gathered about 2,200 orders by Aug. 31. Volkswagen Group Japan said the orders amount to more than one-third of the 6,400 sales that the company had set as its sales goal through December.

A 1,600cc engine powers the right-hand drive Polo, which is available at the Volkswagen Group's Fahren sales outlets and through Toyota's Duo sales network.
