Mahindra Ford Prices Escorts in India

Reuters has reported that Mahindra Ford, Ford's Indian venture, hung price tags on Escort models. The cars will range from about 544,500 rupees to 662,600 rupees.

The company said that gasoline-powered 1.3 liter standard cars would cost 544,469 rupees, while its LX model costs 575,288. The 1.8 liter diesel standard car will go for 631,790 rupees, its LX model will cost 662,609.

Mahindra Ford said it will book cars for a period of 15 days, beginning on September 9. Consumers can make their bookings for a deposit of 35,000 rupees. Mahindra Ford is a 50-50 joint venture between India's Mahindra & Mahindra and Ford.
