Chrysler Corporation Announces 1997 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler Sebring Prices

Prices Set for 1997 Dodge Avenger, Chrysler Sebring

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 30 -- Chrysler Corporation
today announced suggested retail prices for 1997 Chrysler
Sebring and Dodge Avenger models.

The base price of the 1997 Sebring LX is $16,540, while the Sebring
LXi is $21,020. The Dodge Avenger carries a 1997 suggested retail
price of $14,620; the Avenger ES is $17,490.

The Sebring for 1997 has redesigned front and rear, and a new grille
and body side cladding. As part of the front-end restyling, the
Sebring becomes the first modern-day production Chrysler to carry the
brand's winged logo.

Avenger's revisions for 1997 include styling changes to the front and
rear for a bolder, more aggressive appearance.

Destination charges on Sebring and Avenger are $535 except in Alaska,
where the charges are $550.
