Nissan Division Announces Fall Prices

CARSON, Calif., Aug. 23 -- Nissan Division of Nissan
Motor Corporation U.S.A. today announced manufacturer's suggested
retail prices (MSRP) for its fall line-up of cars, sport utilities,
Trucks and minivans. The prices reflect a sales-weighted average
increase of 1.1 percent, or $230 per unit, over comparably-equipped
1996 models. The pricing action will be effective as each model is
introduced.

According to Thomas H. Eastwood, vice president, Nissan Division, the
pricing action is due to changes or refinements on its 1997 models, as
well as business and economic factors.

Destination charges of $420 remained unchanged.
