Volkswagen Announces Investments in Brazil

Comtexhas reported that Volkswagen announced plans to invest $1 billion in producing Golf and Audi vehicles in Brazil. The carmaker has said it will announce a site for the production in September.
Volkswagen will put $400 million into making 60,000 Audis annually, including 30,000 Audi A3 models. The carmaker will put $600 million into producing 100,000 new Golf models a year. Volkswagen will market the Brazilian made Golf models in Brazil, as well as exporting some of them to the Mercosur trade block.
