Volvo Japan's New Models

Comline reported that Volvo Truck Japan, Volvo's importer and marketer of commercial vehicles in Japan, will start a sales promotion campaign in September that will double as an exhibition of Volvo's newest models. The campaign will run in major urban centers first, including Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and Sapporo. It will travel to smaller cities starting in January 1997.

The new Volvos will include an FH12 tractor and a special trailer that comfortably seats 20 to 30 people. Volvo debuted in Japan only recently, but it has captured the attention of big clients. The company plans to sell 500 FH12 tractors each year.
