Nissan Will Create New Brand for Repair Parts

08/08/96

Comline reported that Nissan Motor has announced that it will sell a secondary brand of repair parts beginning on September 2. The price of the new parts will ring in at 5 to 20% lower than current prices on Nissan products. Nissan hopes the move will help it increase its share of the repair parts market by competing against car parts stores, whose sales point is the lower cost of their products. Most of the sales will be made through dealers. The company will sell 455 different items, including items like fan belts, cleaners and rust-prevention lubricants.
