Electric Vehicle Paces Marathons

You may have seen General Motor's EV1 electric vehicle last weekend: it was the official pace car for the 26 mile women's marathon race on Sunday. If you missed the event, the car will repeat its performance on August 4th. It will help start the men's marathon at 7 a.m. in Olympic Stadium and pace the race throughout Atlanta, returning to the stadium for the finish.

Starting this fall, GM's Saturn division will market the two-seat electric car in L.A., San Diego, Phoenix, and Tucson.
