07/05/96

The Feds just won't leave Chrysler alone. Now they are looking at a possible recall of one million of MOPARS' fast selling minivans. The investigation focuses on liftgate and sliding door problems. NHTSA says there have been 48 complaints about sheared support bolts for tailgates that could cause the gate to collapse on people standing under it when open. There have been five complaints of sliding doors in 1996 minivans opening while the vehicles are in motion.
