Ex-Indy Driver Dobson Wins Touring Car Race at Detroit GP

The fourth round of the fledgling North American Touring Car Championship series at the Detroit/Belle Isle CART/Indy car event last Sunday went to Dominic Dobson aboard a factory backed, PacWest Dodge Stratus. Darren Law, BMW, started from the pole but smacked the wall in the first lap and was out for the day. Randy Probst, BMW, took over, but Dobson advanced from the fifth spot on the grid to second behind Probst by the start of the second lap. Jeff Andretti in a Ford was third followed by Rod Millen in his right hand drive Toyota Carina. On the last lap David Donohue, Stratus, passed Millen to finish fourth.
