Joe CART, 1PM Defending Champion: Al Unser Defending Pole sitter: J. Villeneuve Race length: 102 laps Track Layout: 1.95 mile, 9 turn road course Track record: Villeneuve, 117.614MPH (one lap) Notes: Al Unser won last year and then was disqualified for ride height on his Lola. The race was given to Jimmy Vasser. After a protest, however, CART upheld Unser's win.
