Chrysler to Discontinue Eagle Summit

06/11/96

Chrysler has decided not to sell a 1997 version of their Eagle Summit, which is manufactured by Mitsubishi in Japan. The company says they have discontinued Summit Sedans and Wagons because of slipping demand and the value of the yen, which makes importing the cars uneconomical. Chrysler will stand by the Eagle name, however. This summer the corporation will produce a modified Talon sports coupe and a new Vision sports sedan will be out in about a year and a half.
