Jay Leno to Host American Auto Centennial Festivities

As stated here May 3 the American Automobile Centennial Celebration comes to a rousing finish in Detroit June 22 witha 1000 car parade and gala banquet at Cobo hall, site of Motowns annual International Auto show. Parade Grand Marshall and monologist at the gala will be Hollywood/TV car buff, Jay Leno. The Tonight show comic owns 23 classic cars and 40 motorcyles that he exercises regularly.

The honorary committee for the V.I.P. party includes Michigan Governor, John Engler, Detroit Mayor, Dennis Archer and U.A.W. President Stephen Yokich. Patron tables are only $10,000.
