GRADS TURN TO FORD FOR DEAL ON WHEELS

DEARBORN, Mich., May 7 -- When this year's college
graduates begin their first jobs, Ford Motor Company can put them on the
road to success in style, comfort and safety.

The 1996 Ford & Mercury College Graduate Purchase Program offers
qualified graduating college seniors, graduate students and recent
graduates $400 cash back on the purchase or toward the lease of a new
Ford or Mercury vehicle. And, to make getting into the driver's seat
even easier, graduates may be eligible for pre-approved credit from Ford
Credit and a 120-day deferral of their first payment.
Eligible graduates can purchase or lease a vehicle through the
program until Jan. 3, 1997.

"Ford was the first company to offer a vehicle purchase program
targeted to college graduates with the introduction of the College
Graduate Purchase Program in 1984," said Peter de Rousset-Hall,
marketing director for Ford Credit.

The program is available on the entire lineup of new 1995, 1996 and
1997 Ford and Mercury cars, light trucks and minivans, which features a
limited warranty for 36 months or 36,000 miles and free roadside service
24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

For eligibility requirements and additional details about the 1996
Ford & Mercury College Graduate Purchase Program, call Program
Headquarters at 1-800-321-1536 or look for program information on the
Ford site on the World Wide Web at http://www.ford.com.
