NASCAR: Save Mart 300 at Sears Point, Winston Cup Results

Motorsport news International published the finishing order and driver winnings from last Sunday's NASCAR Winston Cup Series race, the Save Mart 300. The race ran at Sears Point in Sonoma, California. NASCAR fined winner Rusty Wallace $25,000 for having an illegal roof line. A post race inspection showed that the roof height was 3/18ths of an inch lower than the required 51 inches. Apparently a right rear shock had collapsed and the right front jack screw plate was damaged. Since there was no competitive advantage, NASCAR levied a fine only.
