Hatchet is Buried as U.A.W./G.M. Head for Olympics

Now that both devastating "brake" strike is over G.M. and U.A.W. have made plans to show solidarity and what better a place than the Olympics. Peace, brotherhood, Mom, apple pie and the flag...and don't forget the national anthem. The two entities are cooperating on a tour/exhibit called "driving the Olympic spirit" consisting to two semi trucks that will carry the patriotic exhibit which includes Olympic hopefule demonstrating gymnastics, table tennis and Judo to 180,000 GM employees in 31 locations. GM is th official domestic car and truck manufacturer for the games and the corporation has earmarked $50 million for promotion which will be split between Chevrolet, Pontiac, Olds, Buick and Cadillac.
