The American Automotive Association has reported the results of yet another survey about gas prices. The survey shows that gasoline prices in March were the most expensive they have been since the beginning of the Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm) in January 1991.

The new survey says that regular unleaded gasoline is averaging $1.24 per gallon, up 6 cents over March's average, and 11 cents above February's. In January 1991 the price for regular unleaded was at $1.249 per gallon.

Mid-grade unleaded prices are up 6.1 cents per gallon this month to $1.33 and Premium unleaded prices are up 5.9 cents to $1.41. All of the above prices are for self serve.
