Subaru Plans New Models

04/10/96

Subaru division of Fuji heavy industries has 650 U.S. dealers and is having a banner sales year due primarily to the popularity of its Legacy Outback wagon. For 1997 Subaru will debut an Impreza Outback Sport which is designed to fit the sport utility wagon segment. Subaru will also bring out a new all-wheel driving system for the Legacy 2.5 GT. The new driving system uses all four wheels to distribute the horsepower to the road enabling the driver to go deeper in the turns. The system utilizes special valve shocking, low spring rates plus front and rear anti-roll bars.
