Ford Buys $650 Million Worth of Brakes from ITT Automotive

Reuters reported that Ford Motor Company put ITT Automotive under 2 contracts worth $650 million to produce a braking system and other parts for one of their future vehicles. Under one contract ITT Automotive will design, engineer, and assemble a brake system package that includes anti-lock brakes, front calipers, actuation, rear drum brakes, and hoses. The second contract has ITT Automotive supplying all brake, fuel, and vapor lines; and a fuel filler pipe. ITT Automotive is a subsidiary of ITT Industries, Inc.
