At the UAW's Special Bargaining Convention in Detroit, UAW President Stephen Yokich said that the union's top objective during contract talks this fall will be improved job security. The UAW will enter talks with the big three U.S. car makers to bargain their next three year collective bargaining agreement this fall. Yokich said that reduced overtime and more jobs will also be among the union's bargaining concerns. The union is expected to negotiate their contact with Chrysler first and to use that as a basis for their contracts with GM and Ford.
