IndyCar: Vasser Wins Second Race

IndyCar Australia was CART's second PPG series race and Jimmy Vasser's second victory. Vasser (Reynard-Honda) beat Scott Pruett (Lola Ford-Cosworth) with a time of 2:46.856 and an average speed of 90.218 mph. Vasser walked away from the 2.804 mile road course (12 turns) with a bonus prize of $85,000 because he won from the pole position. He led for 60 out of 65 laps.
