NASCAR: Jeff Gordon Wins Food City 500, Rain Terminates Race

Jeff Gordon was declared the winner of the Winston Cup series' Food City 500 which ran Sunday in Bristol TN. Gordon was leading the field when the 500 lap race was canceled after 343 laps, on account of rain. The race marked Gordon's second consecutive victory this season, and put him at 6th place in Winston Cup point standings, 133 points behind the leader (Dale Jarrett). Following Gordon in the top 6 finishers were Terry Labonte, Mark Martin, Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace and Dale Jarrett, who retained his lead in the series' point standings.
