The Automotive Hall of Fame, Midland, Mi., honors the men and
women who made..who pioneered the automotive industry from its
earliest beginnings. At a black tie ceremony at Detroits Westin
Hotel the following inductees will be honored.
Frank J. Campbell and H.T. Ewald, founders of the industrys first
big time advertising agency, Campbell-Ewald, todays ad agency for
Chevrolet.
Ed Davis was the first African-American auto dealer.
J. Frank Duryea was one of two brothers who are credited with starting the
auto industry in the U.S.
William Maybach (Maybach Zepplin) designed the first Mercedes.
Nicholas Otto invented the four stroke internal combustion engine.
Freelan Stanley and his brother Francis invented the Stanley Steamer.
