Used Car Buying Check-List

03/28/96

Consumer Reports published a check-list of seven points to look out for if you are buying a used car. Their list doesn't cover the obvious things to check for (i.e., leaks, worn tires, bad test drives, etc), but rather concentrates on lesser known trouble signs.

Among other signs of bigger problems the checklist includes: sagging driver's seats, tilting back bumpers, blue exhaust, and excessive bouncing.

Check out the whole list and find out why the items are on it.
